Anticipation

My daughter Haleys birthday party is next Friday and she is so excited!!! It got me thinking about what Pastor Jim has been talking about the last few weeks. He has been challenging us to examine our relationships with God. Are we in a relationship seeking him, and anticipating being in his presence, and following him in everything we do. Are we courting him, or dating him. Hmmm! Wow dating him until something else comes along, or coming to church because that is what we do. It becomes religion after a while. I fear the day when we lose the relationship and we stop anticipating being in His presence. For me remembering that His mercies are new everyday and that He Loves me in spite of my mistakes. I Love going to church, or even just being home with the worship music on and waking up each morning thankful for another day and looking forward to what God has planned for the day.

Living intentionally.

How are you living? How do you prioritize? What do you think about? this year in my quest to get closer to God and my realtionship with him, It got me thinking about circumstances that we live in. we are in a financial crisis like a lot of people in our area. Only we have the choice of how we live through our circumstances. We can either be depressed and try to do things our way, be angry, think negative and just merely live. or We can choose to first realize that our circumstances are tests which turn in into our testimonies. We can choose to turn it to the Lord and choose to be joyful and positive in our circumstances. Living intenionally means to me means living according to Phillipians 4:8 which is Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Its not also easy but in everything with prayer and supplication take your petitions to the Lord. Think about it are you living and thinking intetionally and prioritizing you life for the Lord or your circumstances?
