AWESOME POEM

THE "U" IN JESUS
Before U were thought of or time had begun, God stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true, You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name, For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died. It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew, And this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension, He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
'Go into the world and tell them it's true That I love them all - Just like I love U.'
So many great people are connected to U, Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do, He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U.

the job description of a mom

i pulled this off a site and thought it was good so here you go.

MOM - Job Description
POSITION:Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy
JOB DESCRIPTION:Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.
POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT AND PROMOTION:Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.
WAGES AND COMPENSATION:Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and this wish you could only do more.
BENEFITS:While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right.

a lesson on the Holy Spirit

pastor has been talking about the Holy Spirit and i cant get enough i am so hungry and feeling like i dont have enough hours in a day to do the thing i should and i just want so much more. i was reading this on beth moore's site and thought was so good i i would pass along. So here it is.

More of His SpiritScripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 2
Today’s Treasure: “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13).
You and I need nothing on this earth like more of the Holy Spirit. Do we need to love an unlovely person? Do we need extra patience? Could we use a little peace in the midst of chaos? Do we need to show an extra measure of kindness? Could anyone stand a little more faithfulness to God? Could anyone use a strong does of self-discipline? How about a heaping soulful of joy? Take a look at Galatians 5:22-23. They all come with the fullness of the Holy Spirit! You see, we don’t just need more patience. We need more of the Holy Spirit filling us and anointing us!
Now before anybody starts writing me letters, let me go on to explain. I realize the Holy Spirit is a person. When He comes into a believer’s life at salvation, He moves in personally. We believers have the Spirit, but the infinite Spirit of God continues to pour Himself into our lives. Any given day I may enjoy a greater portion of His Spirit from on high.
Does anyone need deep insight from God’s Word? An added measure of understanding? Anyone need the eyes of her heart enlightened to know the hope of her calling? Does anyone want to fulfill God’s eternal purposes for her life and think with the mind of Christ instead of the misleading mind of mortal flesh? All of these come with “more” of the Holy Spirit! (See 1 Corinthians 2.)
Child of God, don’t just absorb this truth! Get up and celebrate it! God gives His Spirit without measure! He has all that you need. Or more properly stated, He is that all you need. Our fulfillment and greatest joy are in the flooding of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives. He is how we understand God’s Word and will for our lives!
Here’s a good one: Could anyone use a sharper memory? Beloved, I could! Take a look at John 14:26. “The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send you in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
The Holy Spirit is the blessed Reminder. Have you ever noticed we have a very sharp memory about destructive things, but a far duller memory over instructive things? We need more of the Holy Spirit! Recently I had to memorize lines for a Christmas pageant at our church. I had never done anything like that, and I was a nervous wreck. Because I knew John 14:26, instead of just asking God to help me with my lines, I asked Him to fill me with more of His Holy Spirit so the blessed Reminder would manifest Himself to me—and He did! He is your key to memorizing Scripture or retaining anything biblical. Take Him up on it!
What do you need most from the Holy Spirit? Are you actively praying for more of Him toward that end? Luke 11:13 implies that if we want the Holy Spirit to invade more and more of our lives, God wants us to ask Him for it!
Holy Spirit, I do need more of you in my life. Please invade every part of me with ever-increasing measure. Energize my speech, thought patterns, and actions. Please show me where I’m quenching Your Spirit and hindering Your work. Remind me to pray for more and more of You. In the holy name of Jesus, Amen.

is it so hard?

is it so hard to live a life of worship? is it so hard to realize that we are loved beyond comprehension? Is it so hard to not only know who we are but whose we are? I we purpose in our hearts to stand on the Word of God and use it, No devil in Hell can defeat us. We can stomp on his ugly head and command him to flee. God loves us sent His Son to die in our place. He is the King of Kings so that makes us an hier to the throne. 1 peter 2: 9-10 We are to walk in that power use our sword and live a life worships him. Think of the Power in that. It is hard because we are in a war. (3For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.
4For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, 2 corinthians 10: 3-4)

Satan is a liar, He wants us to get our idenity from anything but Christ. so to combat him and war against when we study the word, live in an attitude of worship and take every thought that comes to our head captive and make obedient to Christ( 2 Corinthians 10:5) and listening to the Holy Spirit> Its not easy to live in that. it is spiritual warfare. it i s a consious eveday minute by minute choice we make! I pray peace strength and love over each one that reads this!
God Bless~

Anticipation

My daughter Haleys birthday party is next Friday and she is so excited!!! It got me thinking about what Pastor Jim has been talking about the last few weeks. He has been challenging us to examine our relationships with God. Are we in a relationship seeking him, and anticipating being in his presence, and following him in everything we do. Are we courting him, or dating him. Hmmm! Wow dating him until something else comes along, or coming to church because that is what we do. It becomes religion after a while. I fear the day when we lose the relationship and we stop anticipating being in His presence. For me remembering that His mercies are new everyday and that He Loves me in spite of my mistakes. I Love going to church, or even just being home with the worship music on and waking up each morning thankful for another day and looking forward to what God has planned for the day.

Living intentionally.

How are you living? How do you prioritize? What do you think about? this year in my quest to get closer to God and my realtionship with him, It got me thinking about circumstances that we live in. we are in a financial crisis like a lot of people in our area. Only we have the choice of how we live through our circumstances. We can either be depressed and try to do things our way, be angry, think negative and just merely live. or We can choose to first realize that our circumstances are tests which turn in into our testimonies. We can choose to turn it to the Lord and choose to be joyful and positive in our circumstances. Living intenionally means to me means living according to Phillipians 4:8 which is Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Its not also easy but in everything with prayer and supplication take your petitions to the Lord. Think about it are you living and thinking intetionally and prioritizing you life for the Lord or your circumstances?

God is so Good!!!!!

hmmmm not in yet. well God has a reason and his timing is so much better than ours anyway. He has been stretching us and though it has been hard i am learning so much and my Faith greater. Only He knows what is best for us. I am reminded of the scripture in jeremiah that says: For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (29:11)

Wow that is so cool.
Oh i also decided after praying for quite a while that i am going into Early Childhood Education.
I am so excited!!! if i can just get through Psychology lol

I also had the chance to sit with some friends of mine this week and brainstorm some ideas of how we can be better moms and wives and help eachother. we talked about ways to save money by clipping coupons, shopping smart and many topics. It was awesome just to be able to pray and help eachother. We are meeting once a month so if anyone has any great ideas i would love to hear them and pass them on.

Also I had conferences with Whitney and Haleys teachers today. I great reports back. They doing well and the only thing is they need to practice thier reading skills. So pray for them that they will get practice and can catch up to where they need to be.

and last but not least Nick, Whaitney and Haley have a Bible Quiz competition this Saturday. It will be Haleys first. They have been practicing at home and every Sunday @ jbq practic.
